Text Analysis - Create QCodes File

This feature allows you to take a Text variable and a variable representing a categorization of that Text variable and create a QCodes file that can be imported into the Text Coding window. The variable representing the categorization of the Text variable will either be a Nominal or Ordinal variable or Binary - Multi variable setCategorical or Ordered categorical variable or Pick Any Question

Usage

To create the QCodes file:

• Select two variables from a loaded Data Set.
  • A single Text variable (Text - Multi is not supported).
  • A single variable/variable set representing the categorization of the above Text variable:
    • For a Mutually exclusive categorization a single Nominal or Ordinal variable needs to be selected.
    • For a multiple overlapping categorization a single Binary - Multi variable set needs to be selected.
• Run the feature

• Select two variables from a loaded Data Set.
  • A single Text variable (Text - Multi is not supported).
  • A single variable/variable set representing the categorization of the above Text variable:
    • For a Mutually exclusive categorization a single Categorical variable needs to be selected.
    • For a multiple overlapping categorization a single Pick - Any variable set needs to be selected.
• Run the feature

The feature will save the QCodes file to the Displayr drive. This file can then be downloaded and imported into the Text Coding window via the Import button.
