Time series plots are line and column charts. They are created by selecting from Create > Charts > Chart or from the Show Data as drop-down menu.
Time series plots have three key benefits:
- You can readily change the time periods charted
- You can apply moving averages and other forms of smoothing
- The charts automatically update when new data is added.
Once you have created the time series plot, select the desired questions in the two blue drop-down menus and, if desired, change the date at the bottom of the chart.
You can smooth series in a time series plot by either right-clicking on the line on the chart and selecting the option to Format the series, or, clicking the category of the question you wish to smooth and selecting Time Series Analysis.
