Automatically Including Weights, Filters and Dates in Headings

Any filters applied to a table or chart are automatically exported at the bottom of the page in PowerPoint or in a caption in Word. However, you can also include the filters’ descriptions in headings in PowerPoint, Excel, and when exporting as a PDF or printing by including <filter>. For example, giving a table the name Region: <filter> will cause the name, when exported, to appear as Region: Europe if the label of the filter is Europe.

<filters> creates a composite description of all of the filters. You can refer to the first, second, etc. filter using <filter1>, <filter2>, etc.

<weight> shows the name of any weight that has been created.

You can add <date> for dates, <month> and <year>.
