Create menu
This page is currently being updated to reflect changes made in Q5. If you are using Q5 and require documentation now, please contact us at Q Support.
Additional information about the menu items in each section of the Create menu, particularly those which use R, can be found by clicking the links below.
Tables Tools for generating batches of tables, and for generating special tables.
- Drag and Drop Create a new question, combining multiple questions together.
- Code Define the columns of a banner by writing code. See Logic Variables for more information.
Text Create a text item (i.e., where you can type and format text).
Image Insert an image.
R Output Create a new output from R Code.
Correlation Tools for displaying correlations. For example, create a scatterplot matrix.
Classifier Tools for classification. For example, create a classification tree.
Dimension Reduction Tools for reducing multi-dimensional data. For example, perform a Principal Components Analysis.
Analysis of Variance Tools for ANOVA.
Regression Tools for running regression models and driver analysis.
Segments Tools for segmentation, including latent class analysis and cluster analysis.
Marketing Tools used in market research. Includes TURF and Max-Diff.
Test Additional tools for statistical testing.
Text Analysis Tools for processing and analyzing text data.
Variables and Questions
- Insert Variable(s) Menu Tools for creating new variables.
- Insert Ready-Made Formula(s) Menu Built-in formulas for processing existing variables.
Earlier Versions of Q
This page describes the Create menu in Q4.11.
Map Create a perceptual map of the selected data.
Segments Create segments using latent class analysis, trees and clustering.
Table Create a summary table or crosstab.
Plot Create a chart, using the data in the table.
Text Create a text item (i.e., where you can type text).
Image Insert an image.
Test for Statistical Significance Computes the p-value for the cells selected in the table.
Traditional Multivariate Analysis
- Cluster Analysis k-Means Cluster Analysis of the selected data.
- Principal Components Analysis Principal Components Analysis of the selected data.
- Regression Regression where the blue drop-down question is the dependent variable.
Banner Create a new question, combining multiple questions together.
Basic Tables Create a large number of tables.
Smart Tables Crosstab one question by other questions, sorting the resulting tables according to statistical significance.
